#Zoo tycoon 3 dinosaurs upgrade
Players need to expand or upgrade their zoo by purchasing animals, making animal habitats and allocating resources along with staff in order to manage and care for the animals.

Zoo Tycoon is a game which is about running a successful zoo.Wherever I build this exhibit, all the guests go to that section of the zoo. It shows, since although this croc is very expensive as it needs a 20x10 exhibit for one, it will attract a lot of guests. It's unlocked by naming an exhibit "Super Croc" or beating the Breeding the T.Rex scenario, so it is meant as an Infinity+1 sword in the ZT world. Unlike Caudipteryx, iirc it doesn't need that much foliage. Giant Tortoise, because it isn't much more expensive than the previous dino. This dinosaur is also more forgiving in terms of exhibit requirements if only because it can't trample foliage. It's pretty cheap, considering that you can use regular ZT fencing: its cost is roughly the same as more expensive ZT animals like elephants. Personally, I only find a few DD species worth the expense, and most of them aren't that expensive actually: Because of the sheer expense, I would not recommend building dinosaur exhibits for your zoo to start out with: if you can help it, start off with popular vanilla ZT animals like the Saltwater Crocodile or Bengal Tiger to attract guests and have a steady stream of cash before spending that money on the crowd-pleasing dinosaurs. Not to mention, since the hatchlings are babies, their popularity will slightly decrease as they grow up. Or you could use the dino's freshwater requirement to block off said foliage.īecause dinosaurs are extinct and cool, most species are quite popular with guests, but their fencing requirements alone make them more expensive to buy. Many dinosaurs will trample on foliage if their exhibit suitability is too low, so I'd hold off on placing foliage until all the terrain is set. Caudipteryx is the only dinosaur to my knowledge that can use regular ZT fencing.

For the rest of the DD animals sans Caudipteryx you can use the reinforced concrete fence. But you can either lower the terrain by 2 notches or surround the exhibit with fresh water none of these dinosaurs (even Spinosaurus, since ZT was made before science realized that this croco-duck actually was semi-aquatic) can swim. So despite what some people have mentioned below, only 3 dinosaurs actually require electric fencing, and they are: Allosaurus, Spinosaurus, and T.
